A modest proposal to fellow atheists....?
From now on, when Christians post that ubiquitous question - "Why are atheist (sic) in the religion section? *sniffle sniffle* - how about we all post this question: If the Bible has all the answers, why are Christians here asking questions of atheists?
What say you?
shaolt20: Which ****ing planet do you live on?

yah, I'm no atheist either, but, I agree.
Too many people ask the same questions, and it's obvious that they don't want a real answer, they just want to stir the pot up.
I'm Christian, but I believe that you have the right not to believe... If that makes sense.
I have actually posted a similar answer to what Pheonix suggested on many posts, providing that link, and I find, it works.
Yahoo should install a "this question is redundant" button.
Religion is just "beliefs" so I would say, believing in the big bang theory, or whatever, constitutes relgion.

particularly the final technological point of mankind has better over the final couple of centuries with the commercial and digital and innovations revolutions. whether, the idealistic image you're portray isn't the entire tale. this is a floor image. below those "eradicated" illnesses are resistant new forms of ailment. We (mankind) are actually not the only species on the earth to evolve; our advances have not proceeded with out outcomes. this is the phobia of those outcomes which informs many of the Luddite persuasion and people who might have us halt technological progression to allow human psychological and social progression to get closer our prowess with craftsmanship and actual innovation. Then there are people who worry blindly, people who take emotional cues from non secular texts and use them to justify tries to halt progression for no different reason than it promises a imprecise hazard that may not totally understood. collectively as Utopia is plenty from completed in at present's society, it is not homogeneous, nor could or not this is. There might desire to continually be a cautionary voice to offset the prepared futurists. whether, while the voice of unreasonable worry takes carry and constructive properties a majority say, it quite is while issues exchange into shaky and frightening. a complicated subject, yet not one which is unpredicted in any advance society with many layers. thank you for the question; sorry i'm not an atheist, yet I pop in on those each and all of the time, as few questions are aimed in direction of agnostics.

Nice try but I haven't heard Christians say the bible has all the answers. If it did do you think I would waste time going to a mechanic or supporting cancer research. I don't mind atheist participation when they are half sincere or at least half humorous.

Feel free to take my text file for easy answering.
This question is asked many, many times here every single day. There is a giant search bar on top of this page that says "Search for questions" and you saw this question multiple times when you were typing a title.
Why would you continue to ask it and then press OK after not having taken these other factors into consideration? This has been copied and pasted from a text file because I'm really damn sick of seeing it all the time.
But I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here anyway. Here's a video that describes in great detail why atheists care about religion.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4fQA9mt-Mg
In short, and aside from the fact that religion gives birth to countless wars and global conflicts, directly and indirectly, atheists are discriminated against (much more noticeably in religion-dependent countries like the United States and Turkey).
Also, this section is called Religion & Spirituality. Maybe some atheists and agnostics enjoy discussing religion or perhaps even educating people. Being an atheist or agnostic has nothing to do with a lack of spirituality, however. Many atheists are spiritual or even religious. Many Buddhists are atheists, for example. All atheism means is a lack of belief in a supreme being, nothing more.
Just try to remember that there's a search bar there for a reason, and this question has literally been asked thousands and thousands of times, just in this section of Yahoo! Answers.

Well, not every atheist that posts on here is going to see this question, but it will be interesting to see how your idea catches on. It could be like a real-time study of memes: how quickly they disseminate and how they change over time.

we will have the last laugh, humanly speaking.... sorry for you. oh well, atheists only argue the fact of true Christiananity, because they are trying to relieve their mind that what they're thinking is correct. so to answer your question, if you are in the R & S category, but you are not R & S, then you are are drowning & only reaching out a hand for someone to help you. if that's not the case & you will never believe, then you are indeed in the wrong category & i suggest you wait for yahoo to open an atheist category, where you will infact fit in. good luck to you, & thank God, "I'm not you!"

Because Christians, even though they sometimes don't realize it, aren't perfect, just like us Atheists.
The moment someone thinks THEY KNOW, they are lying.

But if you get the Christians to stop asking that question, you'll end one of the best drinking games. That's no fun.

You know its funny you keep on the "athiest" thing. I haven't seen that at all recently. The last time that question was posted it was spelled right.

I kinda like the answer "Because they were chased out of the reptiles section"
