What are words?

The suffix '-able' (or '-ible') is added to some verb stems to create an adjective which indicates that the subject is able to have the action of the verb done to it.

e.g. His opinion is understandable - his opinion can be understood.

If the verb stem ends in 't', then the ending will be 'table'
