i mean to be a professional basketball player he's pretty skinny, cuz mostly all the players have a nyce basketball cut body (no homo), but i guess size doesn't matter cuz he be killing on the court.

He's 19 and I'm sure he'll even out and put on some size. But to me he looks like a natural, slender athlete, that may never really get 'bigger'. Not everyone is going to come out like LeBron.

Look at KG. Although he can more than hold his own, he is still long, wiry and lean. Classic basketball body.

Plus I have a theory that the skinnier (muscular) players are less likely to get injured.

Durant is OK for a young kid. He'll 'cut up' and lean out in a few years.

Clearly he isn't if he's putting up 22+ point games in his rookie season. Many people questioned how much he could lift in draft workouts, but that doesn't matter. He's a rare talent that is capable of playing multiple positions and he JUST entered the league, If I had a gazillion fingers I could count for players that supposedly were underweight in there rookie year. He has plenty of time to develop if he wants to if he does want to play like his idol, Kevin Garnett (Who as you may remember, was freakishly skinny himself when he declared for the draft.

I agree, but the Sonics are playing him at SF so that should be OK until he meets Lebron and is posterized. He is too light and I bet he will get heavier as the season goes on since he will have access to some of the finest fitness equipment in the world and will do better in 2 or 3 years with his new muscle and weight.

Ahh I wouldn't worry if anything look at Reggie Miller and he survived the NBA toughest players. Especially the 90's the roughest defensive time in the NBA. And look at now the game is made for perimeter players.

He is a hulk compared to his older brother Anthony, a junior at Towson U near their hometown in Maryland.

skinny? you should have seen George Gervin. anyway, it'll develop over the years. Reggie Miller remained a stick throughout his career.

You have to remember he is very young - all players get more cut and muscular as they mature in age.
