Is Al Qaida losing contol?
Another country has joined against the Al Qaida, this time Jordan. Country governments that either turned on Al Qaida or Al Qaida turn on the government should be Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Jordan, Egypt, Kuwait....

rightwing65 - true but they are too interested in winning against the president to worry about any thing war related be it positive or negative.
ch_ris_l - We are in Iraq now, can't change that. As for regrouping that didn't happen, look carefully at the insurgents, the novice ones are Al Qaida and the experts are from Iran. Afghanistan has hit a high spot in many areas since the war and doing much better than Iraq.

That article is a breath of fresh air. However, I wouldn't say it means they are losing control unless we see many more arrests of Al Qaida officials in the near future.

Not guarenteed. It was a major lapse in judgement for the Bush administration to have invaded Iraq. The majority of the US forces were diverted there, giving the Al Queda a time to regroup.
Al Queda doesn't care about national backing or enemies. As for Arabic leaders, they are generally too corrupt to be held to their word.But, the war in Afghanistan is not going in their favour, and that is some comfort ...
