I mean are adventure clothing stores there ( north face, columbia etc) , and how much cheaper would they be than in Europe.

yes, u get lots of variety at all prices, try Sarijini nagar amrket for clothes there u will have too bargain, cut to half the price of what the shopkeeper tells u. Janpath is another such market. u get all international brands in South Extension market.so stop worrying about clothes.

since you are going to be there for a month I'd say "yes"...you won't have to worry about taking along alot of stuff (no lost luggage worries and it'll be ALOT cheaper) If you buy the stuff there you'll probably fit in better and won't look like a tourist...(also you'll be helping the local economy) When it's time to go home you can always donate the clothes to a local shelter or charity.

Not unless you want a bunch of Indian style clothes when you return to the US. Buy what you need here before you go. Remember take half as much as you think you will require. You can always do wash, somewhere.

yeah that would be a better option,,, as the clothes bought in delhi would suit the climatic conditions there on,,, so less time for u to adjust on to the climatic conditions atleast in case of garments.......
