Why do you think that in every political hot-spot in the world today Islam is the predominant religion?

Is it just me or does it seem that Muslims cause trouble everywhere they have enough power to cause trouble?

Examples: Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Detroit, and of course Israel/Palestine etc, etc.

There is so much political correct tender footing around the brutal fact, that Islam today is a medieval, backward, women hating, undemocratic, hyper fanatic religion, not fit for the modern world. Unless, the Islamic leaders start creating a new, softer worldlier approach to their faith, it will get worse. But even the 10+ million Muslims in the USA have yet to come out and make a clear statement against Muslim terror.

(And I agree with you, that Detroit/Southfield is one of the worst demonstrations of, how our Government tries not to step on anybodies foot, there are most likely more terrorist educated and money collected for terror then anywhere else and nothing is done)

You are simplifying a complex issue. Today, fanatics, yesterday, Germans. There is always an enemy. The truth is, America and Europe's colonialism left a lot of misery and poverty in its wake while we literally stole their resources and subjugated their peopel, and while we have moved on from those times because we are wealthy and happy, they have NOT moved on. They are angry, and growing in power. The fanatics that you see have been united by their religion by intellegent warlords/leaders (like bin Laden) who know that the greatest force in the world for causing death is religion. Just think of how Christians united under the cross and tried to take over the Holy Land in the crusades. There are many Muslims who are modern and believe that these fanatics are destroying not only their faith but possibly bringing the death of the nations where they practice their fundamentalism. The leaders themselves are simply doing what Emperor Constantine did 400 years after Jesus: twisting faith for the purpose of controling a diverse group of people, linking them by a common belief, and then contorting that belief to fit the leader's goals. It is the oldest game in the book, and this is why I believe that religion is the worst think that ever happened to spirituality. No world religion is innocent. They all have, as a central tenant of their principles, the theory that Their way is best, and if you don't believe exactly as they tell you to do, then you either should be killed or your soul will be tortured for eternity. It's all bs to me, and God must be very dissapointed in us. But please, do NOT simplify this threat by making it an ethnic thing. You must stretch your mind to understand what motivates our enemies, or you would make a very ineffective defender/debator.

Historical facts say that Islam has been imperialistic—and would still like to be, if only for religious reasons. Many Muslim clerics, scholars, and activists, for example, would like to impose Islamic law around the world.

Either abolish all religion or just freakin get along with each other already. Who cares what stinkin god you follow, does it really matter? you will live, hopefully you will make a respectable contribution to this world, and you will die. Just be good to each other while we are here and I guarantee that if there is a heaven you will go, if it's virgins then they will be there, if it's an after life maybe you'll be a movie star this time around. The church of respect and good will!!!!!!!!

it does seem that way. as much as i hate to say it, it makes me wonder if there is a deeply rooted problem within the religeon itself that needs to be addressed.

ps: regarding the problem with radical islam (although people say the radicals are a minority, i don't see too many moderate muslims condemning acts of hate or violence against other religions), i think we should start viewing it as an ideology (much like naziism) as opposed to a legitimate religion. any relgion that justifies intolerance and violent killings of defenselsess civilians is not a religion at all. just a dangerous ideology.

Because they have been infiltrating into these & many more places for years, tellus us they are a peacefull group, not like the extreemists. Then, just like any other cell, they organize & take over & cause trouble. It is how they do things.

Actually, radical theocratic fundamentalists are the problem. The actual religion doesn't matter.
