Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and the Yahoo Answers website is now in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

You know how your computer says, "We're sorry Windows has encountered and error and has to shut down."

Then you have to shut down but they give you the option to report the problem to Microsoft. Do you send it - the error reporting or is that a placebo put there to make us think they are getting the info. Do they really care? What would they do with the info from millions of error reports?

Oh I hate when that happens...

Seriously I don't think that they actually get these reports...

Otherwise these things wouldn't be happening...

I mean there are millions of computer all over what makes us think that people have time to fix millions of problems...

They may answer to some... but not to all...

    Source(s): Just a thought...

Yes, they actually will file your error report. It is not just there for fun. Without the error reports from users they won't be able to release patches so effectively.

As for what they do with the millions of error reports for users, only they know. They might have a certain code in the error reports. After compiling the category or risk level then they will assign relevant department to look into it and hopefully fix it.
