Why has my Yahoo main page stopped showing me when I have messages I have not seen in my Mailbox?
You know that little window over to the right where you can see your mail and messenger and horoscopes and that kind of bunk? It would tell me how many mails had come in since I last looked in the mailbox. It ceased doing this job about 1-2 weeks ago maybe. WHY?
I wonder if they are trying to force people to use the beta version.
I don't like it and don't want to switch...

mine did as well.
Maybe yahoo turned it off. I upgraded to the beta mail and it checks on its own when there is mail and will show me down at the bottom if there are any unread mails.
I've seen quite a few people complain about this.

That happened to me to, but there is nothing you can do about it. Just wait a few weeks and it will say something like "50 New" ,while you only have 5 or 6 new messages
