Miguel Cabrera and Detroit Tigers?

There is a rumor going around that the tigers are going to give up Brandon Inge for Miguel Cabrera it sounds like the Tigers are trying to rip off the Marlins but what are these chances.

Dombrowski said he's happy with his infield. The Tigers have enough big bats and inge is a solid defender. I think that would hurt the tigers more than anything. What they need to work on is pitching.

Not gonna happen for several reasons. 1. Florida would expect more in return for Cabrerra, like major league ready young talent. 2. Cabrerra will command a salary close to $10 Million this year and can become a free agent with expectations of between $15-20 Million a year (long term). The Tigers whole payroll will be thrown off. This would be a bad trade for both teams.

The chances of that happening are slim to none; and none just left town...

Brandon Inge is not going anywhere. I cannot stress that enough. Regardless of his offensive inabilities; his glove is well worth whatever his bat doesnt produce.

Granted, it would be nice if his bat got hot and stayed hot for more than a week----but I absolutely love the way he plays the game. Do you see whatshisname diving into the stands for a ball. God forbid whatshisname should ever get his uniform dirty!

I think there is a better chance of him going to the Yankees. They have shown interest in him before and with the possibility of A-Rod going to the West Coast, they'll be in the market for a third baseman.

I don't think Florida is that stupid. The Yanks are going to unload some baggage on them (Giambi,Mussina, etc).Brandon has only just begun, they plan on him being a Tiger for a long time.

who in their right mind will take Inge for Cabrera?

    Tigers got some prospects tho.
