My name is Moose and it will stay that way. I enjoy watching the Red Wings, Tigers and Lions, still have lots to learn about football. God, family, friends, sports and music are whats important to me, in that order. Luke 9: 23-24: "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it."

  • What workouts should I do besides cardio?

I am a mailman who walks 25-30 thousand steps a day, which equates to 14-15 miles. I've lost 18 pounds since I started eating healthier and doing more cardio at the gym. However, I'm not sure of other workouts to do when I'm there, and I feel like I'm overdoing cardio with my job, and then again at the gym. I'm looking to lose another 80 pounds, so I'm not looking to solely add muscle right now.

So what other workouts should I start doing besides cardio?

  • What is around the Rogers Centre?

I am going to a Tigers/Blue Jays game at the Rogers Centre. I have never been there before and it would only be my second time in Toronto, my first time I don't even remember much.

What are some places around there (20 miles or so) that would be fun to check out pre-game? Just stuff to do to keep my girlfriend and I occupied? Also, any good restaurants you guys would recommend?

    Thanks.

  • Division leaders still make the playoffs, right?

How is that any different than what some of you are arguing about being 5th place in a new division and not making the playoffs. It's a rare occasion, leading your division and making the playoffs for that strict reason alone, but didn't an NFL team finish 7-9 and make the playoffs last year, Seahawks I think.

Some of you are saying "it's not fair to finish 5th and be better than a 4th place team in another division and miss the playoffs while they make it"

Okay, division leaders have made the playoffs, not only made the playoffs, been given a top 3 spot in the playoffs for a long time now, and how many complaints have you said about that? But NOW all of a sudden it's a big deal?

And what if you finish, oh 10th in the west, but your point total would get you 6th in the East, again, that's another complaint you are throwing out.

I just had to get that out. Buncha babies.

What is one thing you like about this supposed new allignment, and one thing you dislike about it?

Which players do you believe would have their numbers retired, if only they stayed with the team longer than what they have?

  • Aww man, thats not very nice?

I've been blocked, not naming names, but obviously a very intellectual user who knows truth when they see it. Bummer, now I can only see intelligent questions :(

Anyways, do you think we will ever see soft-handed enforcers in the game as much as we have over the past few decades? The likes of Jarome Iginla and Bob Probert aren't as common anymore. Why or why not do you think we will or won't?

  • How do you think Brendan Shanahan has taken over from Colin Campbell?

A month into professional hockey on North American soil, and Mr. Shanahan has given out more than a few fines and suspensions.

What do you think of the job he is doing thus far?

  • Paying back Pell Grants and student loans?

    Hello,

I attended college a few years ago. Two semesters. I had eight classes total for the two semesters if I recall correctly, passing one of them. I didn't attend the classes most of the time so of course I didn't pass. I got letters saying I owe the money for a portion of the tuition back since I did not meet the grade standards for the grants, fair enough. At the time I blew it off, but now I am really interested in going back to college ASAP. In order to do that, I believe I need to pay off the money from a few years ago. Problem is, I no longer live in the house that I used to, and as a wreckless teenager, I didn't care about paperwork and didn't file it. I don't remember the website that I used to check my balance with the money or to pay the money back. And I sure as heck don't remember a username or password.

Advice on anyways to find out how much I owe and how to pay it back? Would my Secretary of State have information on it?

    Thank you so much.

  • How will free trade affect Runescape economy?

I started playing in about '06, stopped a few months after free trade got removed, and started back up about 6 months ago, and I'm really having a fun time with it. But, Jagex threw us another curveball, free trade is coming back. How are you preparing economically for this drastic change? And do you have any tips for me?

    Thanks in advance :p

  • Oh how time changes ever so quickly?

I was going through some of my old fantasy teams, looking at the drafts and here's what I found.

    In a 16 team league:

I got Brad Richards in the 17th and final round.

Jonathon Quick in the 9th round.

Henrik Sedin in the 5th round.

Took Pekka Rinne in the 3rd round.

    Kiprusoff in the 2nd round.

Actually drafted Jason Williams too, I don't remember which round.

All I can say, what a difference a couple of years make.

As for a question, when it comes to draft picks, which styles do you like better? Ken Holland it and let them get experience in the minors? Or would you rather bring them right in the NHL?

I know goalies and forwards are totally different, I was going to use Howard/Stamkos as an example but that wouldn't be fair at all.

So, when it comes to the youngens of todays game, let 'em learn in the minors, or bring 'em to the big league?

  • From a LOGICAL point of view (not that I have to capatalize that word in this section, right?)?

Was the Hjalmarsson hit on Pominville dirty?

    Reference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xeOQhoRmbI

(sorry, best video on youtube right now.)

I keep thinking back to the Kronwall hit on Havlat.

    Reference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QZ10FQ16PQ&feature...

I have made clear on questions here that I do NOT think the Kronwall hit is dirty. And from the same logic (or maybe to some, lack there of), I do not think the Pominville hit is dirty. Neither Kronwall or Hjalmarsson left their feet. The puck was there, granted neither Havlat nor Pominville played it, but both intentions had to, and the puck was just about on their stick. Havlat put himself in danger by taking his eyes off Kronwall, and Pominville was turning himself into the boards right as Hjalmarsson was about to hit him, nothing Hjalmarsson could do at the time.

But that's the way I see it.

So, was the Hjalmarsson hit on Pominville dirty? I say no, but I'm curious to what you guys think.

  • Are people that stupid?

Saying start Osgood in game 4, put him in there! Time to bench Howard.

You're saying give someone who has started one, maybe two, pretty sure it's one, game since February 25th and didn't look sharp in it, and hasn't looked sharp in any games he has played in, put him in a do or die game instead of trusting the guy you put in for 60+ games all year and trusted in game 7 and in the playoffs?

At the least I'm looking ahead for next year. If you put Osgood in now, what will that do for Howard's confidence? Do you want the guy who will be next years starter knowing he got yanked in favor of his backup in an elimination game?

Even further look at Osgoods play. At least last season he did decent in the season so you had hope in the playoffs. You don't have that same hope. I love Osgood, I'm a big fan of his, ask anyone on here. But starting Osgood in game 4 would be absolutely ridicolous.

    Are people really that stupid?

    Since it has to be a hockey question;

More shocking: Which rookie standout goalie this year will have a case of the sophomore blues?

  • Does Toronto have angles that FSN channels don't?

I've seen a few calls that Toronto has overruled that were sure clear to stand but were overruled by Toronto after. So I'm just wondering if they have different angles?

And if anyone has an angle where it shows that the whole puck actually crossed the goal line in Ott's shootout winner, I'd appreciate it.

  • Hello my fellow blood-thirsty creeps, your thoughts on this?

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/V...

637 penalty minutes in 4 minutes. (Sportscenter said 691 I believe.)

They had to suspend the game because lack of players. What are they going to do when they decide to resume the game?

    Suspensions anywhere?

  • Have you ever done something like this?

Ever predicted something to happen that you didn't want to happen and that thing happened, in hockey. For example, the other day my brothers girlfriend was over and when the Wings/Jackets went to overtime she said the Jackets will win. Well, the Jackets won.

Have you guys ever done something like that? How'd you feel?

  • How much longer until you think?

that Steve Yzerman comes out of retirement, laces up his skates, and brings the Stanley Cup to Hockeytown. With Zetterberg injured the Wings should try and get Yzerman to come out of retirement.

I guess for a real question, what's your favorite highlight of the 2009-10 season? Biggest hit? Favorite goal? Nicest save?

    No BQ for you!

  • I know it, I can just sense it, right?

I was reading an article in the paper the other day, well, on my monitor, and there was a quote from Johan Franzen, who skated in practice the other day. It was about missing the smell of the ice, the feel of the stick, etc.

So my question is, what are some of your favorite senses in sports?

Hearing the crack of the bat, the sound of a slapshot, seeing the famous fist pump of Tiger, MJ's hanging tongue, etc, etc.

BQ: Should fantasy hockey have an IR category?
