How do you think Brendan Shanahan has taken over from Colin Campbell?
A month into professional hockey on North American soil, and Mr. Shanahan has given out more than a few fines and suspensions.
What do you think of the job he is doing thus far?

In typical NHL fashion a lot of show and no go.
In the preseason he laid out the suspensions like there was no tomorrow. Shelly got life, Wisniewski got twelve games which cost him about a half a million dollars. MacArthur was given three game for incidental contact, and then the crapola hit the seabreeze. Weber gets a $2500 fine and that is okay because he is now a repeat offender. I know that $2500 is the maximum fine that they can lay upon him but this guy makes $7.5MM per year. that is over $90,000 per game, or $1500 per minute. So in effect Weber fine was a two minute penalty for boarding from behind. In a third period of a game when they were down 4-1. Give me a break.
The pressure is on Shanahan not to make these suspensions so big as to cause the players any big pay losses. Weber should have got a game. $90,000 will get his attention more than the loose change they fined him for that last hit.

He's doing an amazing job. He's cracking down on all the dirty hits like Campbell should have done all this time.
Colin Campbell sucks
Brendan Shanahan rules

I think he is trying to make it clear that anything that is even possibly outside the rules will not be tolorated campbell seamed to me to be way to light some times and way to harsh on others BUT Shanny is just being hard nosed on every call at least you know whats in store rather then it being a crap shoot

I think he's doing a fantastic job. Every suspension he's given out, he's explained why it was derserving of one.
And he explained why Malone wasn't suspended, since Campoli turned into Malone.

I think he is letting the players know that the league will no longer tolerate inexcusable, stupid penalties.
