nope...fat loss is achieved mostly through your diet although exercise can stimulate fat burning...you are actually constantly burning fat...actually resting (reading this at your computer screen) energy relies almost entirely on energy from fat. but to answer the question fat/weight loss is a matter of balancing calories. if calories consumed > calories burned, you'll gain weight and vice versa.

No you have to workout and lose the fat like running anDr Jillyhannnahfan2 prescribes another lifestyle chage plan,
first of all clear out all the junk and i mean THROUGH it out! DO NOT EAT IT! Running, Walking, Jogging, dancing, swimming, yoga, pilates, aerobics, etc. it's all good for you! Do running for example, 2 laps run, 1 walk or reverse it and repeat (don't forget to warm down!) Do it to music for rythm, on your ipod! And eat healthy, no mcdonalds or unhealthy foods or any of that stuff. Stay out of stuff that says on the ingredients:MSG. Print out a personalized canadian food guide off the website. Work out at the gym, and eat whole wheat or whole grain bread!Have salad with your lunch and dinner! Do a weekly weigh in and all that. If you're really hungry eat a handfull of almonds. or raisins, but before that snack have 2 full glasses of water, they make you fill then see if you still wanto eat, have 8-10 glasses of water each day and 2 waterbottles full after each activity you do! After working out take a hotbath for thirty minutes (take a nap while you bath or read your book) relax and after rub baby oil on your body, do this every day at the end of the day to get rid of the stress and so you won't have sore muscles! Be healthy and good luck! After you lose the fat here's a workout
100 pikes
100 crunches
100 situps
50 pushups (Do by tens, ten rest ten rest etc.)
100 more crunches
150 situps
the criss cross ( shoulder blades off the ground and touch right elbow to left knee switch (do for 1 minute x3)
Killer Abs !!!! Shed the flab!!! Good luck!d stuff No crunches, situps etc until all the fat is gone then you do that this'll help:

No. You start out slow, like 3 or 5 push - ups Monday, 1 push -up Tuesday, rest Wednesday and Thursday; Friday:4 push - ups, Saturday 4 push - ups, etc. Plus, you'll need to change the calorie value of each meal to about 20 calories less than you're used to, walk a few miles when your feet start to fall asleep and more. It will depend on how much you weigh now, how tall you are, how much sleep you get, and what hobbies are your favorite, to determine the rest.

Go to the gym n lift weights if you want to bulid muscle. Your going to want to run if you want to loose fat. It is hard to bulid muscle and loose fat. My suggestion would be to lift weight at a gym for 12 weeks and turn your fat into muscle. Then for the next month just run everyday.
70% of working out is your diet. To gain muscle you have to eat about a gram of protien per pound of body weight.
I went from benching 95 lbs to 275lbs in 2 years.
