popcorn butter stuff bad for lung cancer?
What brand of popcorn was it that was on the news b/c the butter stuff in it was causing lung cancer?

I heard that it is any microwave popcorn containing diacetyl, the primary ingredient in artificial butter flavor. So, it isn't all microwave popcorn.

I read about that, its every kind of the artificial butter. However that was only a theory of how he got lung cancer, and remember that the person microwaved popcorn EVERY day. Im sure having it once in a while is no be deal.

I believe it was microwavable popcorn. And the news said it was called popcorn lung. Its the fumes that you breath right when you open the bag fresh out of the microwave. I don't remember them saying that it actually causes cancer. That's all i remember from it. Check your local news channels web site or which ever news you seen it on. You may be able to find it that way.

I believe it was any type of microwave popcorn - but the guy who got sick was addicted to the stuff, and liked to breathe in deeply when he opened the bag right out of the microwave - so he deeply inhaled the steam. And he did this about 3 times a day for years.
In other words, having the odd bag of microwave popcorn isn't going to do anything to you.

It sounds like the story is authentic, production unit workers in flora that produce microwave popcorn are exhibiting ill effects from the fumes. there is ONE case the place a shopper, eating various luggage an afternoon, daily, has come down with an analogous style of ailment. to respond to you question, "is it risk-free each and every so often", sure that's risk-free. do merely no longer breath in the fumes ideal after popping. I know im not answering your question but popcorns pretty bad for you; dont eat it... Buttersalt used in popcorn has also been apparently linked with prostate cancer!
