Can anyone suggest a romantic/sexy getaway for a weekend in the "North" of UK?

Update:

Pretty flex upto and into Scotland - my preference would be with an emphasis on "sexy" rather than romantic though!

Anywhere can be sexy or romantic, just turn off your mobile phone! and concentrate on each other.

Hmmm .. depends on the difference between romantic and sexy methinks. I'd generally say romantic leads to sexy...... so go to the Lake District, hire a sweet little cottage with an open fire, take some good wine and go for long lovely walks in the stunning countryside... maybe some wellies and a riding crop if you want to get naughty.

    enjoy ;-)

Depends on exactly how you define 'sexy'? Newcastle has a few 'gentlemen's' clubs if you want do take your man out to one of them....Alternatively there are some nice hotel's in the surrounding areas.

One Valentines Day I booked a room at Linden Hall. A very sexy night ensued after a romantic candle-lit dinner....

Why not spend a weekend in Newcastle - great shops, great hotels, lots of places to eat and to go out.

And you're also on the doorstep of the beautiful Northumberland coast, which is definately worth a visit. That way you can combine sexy and romantic!

Whitby in North Yorkshire is a nice place to go. Bram Stoker the author of Dracula is buried in the Abbey. and lots of other history there.
