Anyone find it interesting that oil is running out in the Religious countries and in SA they are finding it?
In those fanatical religious conservative countries in the middle east and the USA it seems like everything government / oil / economy, etc are going into the toilet while in the more countries that are beginning to be more liberal in their way of life and thinking, the economy is growing, Oil seems to be popping up everywhere (new HUGE discovery in Brazil), people are thriving, their way of life seems to improve everyday. HUMMMM and all the Neo-Con Christians in america claim it's the LIBERALS bringning the country down.
I LOVE how you cons think people are an idiot when they draw links between good things and liberals BUT you have been saying Liberals are responsible for all the bad things happening in the USA for years and no one every called you CONS idoits for that conclusion (except of course the people who had some education).

The only difference is that we've been using our oil for a long time. And a lot of the SA discoveries are driven by desperation. For one thing, they're not liberal, they're socialists. But the main thing is they have very little else to support their economy, so finding oil is a real bonus and one that they actively seek. There is also miles and miles of uninhabited country that is not owned by anyone specifically, which is a problem here in the US. To drill here, you've got to get permission from somebody, no matter where you want to drill. Sorry, don't think it has anything to do with religion.

It actually has more to do with where massive amounts of vegetation and organic life were millions of years ago. Religion was not around in the Paleozoic era so I think it has very little to do with it.
