Stream video from Vista to XP?

I have tried sharing the recorded tv folder in Vista and I can bring up thhe "folder" in one of my XP machines and it appears empty. Can you stream video from Vista to XP? Do I need to share each video individually? I would appreciate knowing .If I can do it, how to do it

you can just share the folder that the files are in

right click on the folder and go to sharing

    then click on advanced sharing

    click on permissions

either click on everyone "and tick the boxes to say read, modify"

or add everyone to the list

click on apply and ok all the dialogs
