  • Comp takes a total of 4 GB ram dual channel, Has 4 slots, 2 for 1st channel.....?

Computer takes a total of 4 GB ram dual channel, Has 4 slots, 2 for 1st channel.....2 for 2nd channel. which configuration is best. 2 x 2gb or should I put 4 X1 GB chips? I would rather have the best config than worry about using what I have. I can sell off what i dont use. In other words i have 2 X1GB now but i will buy 2 X 2GB if its best and I can sell the 1 giggers. Will it make no difference?

  • How to tell a PCIe video card from a AGP by looking at it?

I have different video cards I have put in different computers over time. Now the ones not in use are in different boxes and the CDs mixed up. Is there a way to tell a PCIe from a AGP by looking at it. Is there a color on the clip, or is the clip shaped differently? What can I look for?

  • Just a comment about membership on websites, Difficult to sign up?

I tried to sign up on the youtube site. I put in my name user-name and password. The user-name was in use, I changed it. The password wasn't hard enough, I changed it twice. Then they wanted me to copy a bunch of letters so they know its a person. They screw the letters up so they are hard to read. So much so, I had to do it 3 times. They should make it so humans can read it. I ended up having to change something 6 times and still didn't get it right. This isn't a bank or a home loan I was applying for. Its a video website. I just don't understand the security for a website that deals with unimportant stuff like cute videos. I have a new rule. If I have to change something 3 times I just wont sign up. What do you think? Have you had similar problems?

  • Return or not to return?

I ordered a computer over the internet and when I got it it wouldnt work. After talking to the tech department they decided that the necessary software to get it working right on the first boot was missing. So, they were supposed to send a new hard drive. They sent a whole new computer including the monitor. It was unsolicited. I know what the moral issue is but since I didnt order a new computer can they charge me for it if I dont return it since I didnt order it,? I used a debit card and virtually paid cash for it.

  • Return or Not Return That is the Question?

bought a desktop for my nephew for christmas from a reputable national dealer. The computer didnt work out of the box. After some trouble shooting the tech department they decided it needed a new hard drive, which they were supposed to send. They ended up sending a whole new computer, monitor and all. I got a call that if the broken computer wasnt returned within 10 days that I would be charged for a new computer. My question is , if I dont send the unsolicited computer back cn they charge my debit card for the new one? I already know the moral answer (send it all back) , whats the legal answer. The hard drive that came with the original just needs windows loaded on it. Can they legaly debit my visa check card for a new one? These are really nice computers. Id like to keep it but dont want to buy a new one

  • Can Obama lose his bid for President due to race?

Im wondering if we have, truly have come as far as most like to think when it comes to race and gender prejudices.

Do you think race alone can keep Obama from the White House? If yes, why? If no, why?

On the same side of the coin, will Gov. Palin, being a woman, cost McCain votes?

  • Search Results , What determines where you site ranks?

Ok, you have a website. Someone does a search for a product or a word on Yahoo or Google. What determines where you come up in the results? Im more likely to click on a result on the first page even though theres 700,000 results. Is it the most hits or certain words on the main page or what?

  • MS Excell Question?

I have a column of numbers that represent the sum of ebay sales I made. Some of the numbers are negative sums because of a loss.

What is the formula for adding only the negative sums together. I can get a total for the positive sums because it deducts the negative sums when you add the column together, but cant get it to add just the negative sums. Ive tried "COUNTIF" less than $0.01(countif (x<"x"))and it says $1.00 no matter what the number is.

If this question is confusing , welcome to the club LOL.
