Well, I am a parent, but not to a teenager...yet. Being a parent though, I would welcome the fact that my child wanted to focus on their health and build strength. I wouldn't see a problem with it at all, as long as they used them properly and learned proper stretches and methods to prevent injury while using them. I think 15 is a great age to start focusing on your health, and I don't see a problem with a 15 year old wanting to be healthy.

Let me tell you, I'm not your mom as you know that. So, if I were you to talk your parent, What's you want for Christmas? I think, you are 15 really great age to start focusing on your health. It is good for you for your health.

Hey I'm not a mom, but my parents bought free weights and we all use them. It was like a family Christmas present several years ago along with an exercise bike.

If you were my child my question to you would be - Why wouldn't I buy you weights for Christmas if thats what you wanted? Theres no harm in it. You want toned arms... the problem with that is?

At 15, I would -- not heavy ones though.....just for like what you are trying to achieve. Obviously you know you don't want to overdo it at your age which is smart.
