why is that yankee fans say the red sox suck?
Im a red sox fan and I know abotu teh whole sox-yanks rivalry and Im not an idiot. It's one thing though to hate a team and another to say they suck. Neither team sucks, in fact they are the two best teams in baseball hands down in my opinon and have been for sometime. I dont like the yanks but I never say they're a bad team. Even after the sox won teh world series this year all that yankee fans say is either "well, the yanks won 26 and how many have the sox won?" or "it doesnt mater, they suck anyway". I'll never understnad it, someone wanna try give an explanation for this?

It goes both ways - there are plenty of Sox fans who claim the Yankees suck, too. Generally those comments come from people who really know nothing about baseball beyond their own team, and from bandwagon jumpers.
Most fans of the Sox and Yanks know that their enemy doesn't suck. It's just a minority of their fans who say stuff like that.

People who say that the Yankees or the Red Sox "suck" know that neither really do. I'm a Yankees fan, and I totally agree with what your saying. I also don't say that the Red Sox suck, because they are a really good team. The fans that say that the Yankees or the Red Sox suck certainly haven't watched a game of either of these teams. There is some exceptional talent on both ends. It's just a really heated rivalry with fans that are really die hard on both sides, but deep down, every one of those fans know that the Red Sox and the Yankees are two of the best teams in the MLB.

Well both teams fans say other team "sucks'' and its true its part of the Yankees- Red Sox rivalry but personally neither teams suck both of them are historic franchises mostly you heard the suck part from the Bandwagon fans

I am a Yankees fan, and The Red Sox don't suck. if they sucked, they would not win the WS. I just don't like some of the Red Sox fans who run around acting like they are the kings of the world. Most of them are cocky and band wagoners anyway.
And I don't like the Red Sox winning, but that is another story.

Ya know, I think they do this because they don't have a lot of class. Here in Boston, we watch baseball because we love baseball. In New York it is more like a broadway show where the stars are getting payed big bucks to perform. They say we suck because thats what happens when your team isn't as good as they should be and you become insecure.

dude, its called a rivalry.
do u see Dallas and giants fans loving each other?
do you see devils and rangers fans always getting along??
and the word SUCKS doesn't always mean that they are bad. its just kind of a way to say that you hate them.
