Period question?

my periods are normally really heavy The 1st week I spotted.The 2nd week it was very heavy and had large clots from pea size to golf ball sized clots. Now I'm on the 3rd week and its slightly lighter but not much and still get clots. I don't use birth control pills haven't had sex since Aug. I'm 27 yrs old this normal?

    No, it isn't normal to have your period for 3 straight weeks. Go see your GYN.

    Could be a hormonal imbalance.

    I read your question again and didn't realize that this was a 3 week period. I would still consider the hormonal imbalance but would definitely see a gyno as there is likely an underlying condition causing the abnormal periods. Especially if it has been going on for awhile as the condition has been untreated and therefore causing more severe symptoms. Plus I have read from various sources in the past that golf ball size clots warrants medical attention.

    hmm did you miscarried i had that before on 9/30 i never had blood clots that look like a pea in my life

    after i had my kid, they told me in the hospital to let them know if i had a clot that size becasue it could be a sign of something. not dure what though. a hemorage maybe?

    It sounds like to you need to go to the Doctor. I had my period for 3 weeks straight and they put you on BC to regulate it. GO TO THE DOCTOR
