This is the gastrique recipe i use... good luck!
just mix together over low heat untill sugar is disolved... very good over salads
Gastrique:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
*2 tablespoons chopped peanuts
*2 tablespoons chopped chives
*3 long chives
*optional

Possibly a terrible, terrible infection of the GI tract. However, I'm basing this entirely on a really admirable ignorance of cooking that I've cultivated over the years, and a broader knowledge of medical terminology as pertains only to animals, particularly horses.
