Do you believe that intelligent life exists outside of Earth?

It is entirely possible that life exists somewhere else in the universe but not evolved on a carbon/oxygen planet as we have. We are 100% of our planet and adapted/mutated to suit. Other life forms might have developed along other individual planetary themes. You might consider that man, Homo sapiens, was not the sole erect species to be developed here and that he has only survived by chance. It is logical to predict that in another few million years, man will have either destroyed himself or the majority of this planet. It may well be that we are destined to fly our nursery and colonise space but as we have yet to learn how to feed ourselves or to agree how to live in harmony alongside each other it is safe to predict that as flawed creatures, we will soon disappear from the universe and space will be safe from our effect. Hopefully, other life, wherever, will be kept safe from us by the vastness in between.

There is intelligence throughout the Universe, and where there is intelligence, it will transform itself into life where possible. We know certain physical conditions need to be met, and with more galaxies than sand particles on the beach the odds heavily favor that some of them have the right planets to harbor life. If you see the progress we have made in the last hundred years in technology, now imagine if we had a million years of technolgy progress, and there may be a life form similar to humans that could be that far ahead of us that would be capable of visiting us here on earth.

I'd say a mix of 2 and 3. Universe is far to big for there not to be life on some distant planet, even if it is just some bacteria floating around in an ocean of some sort or something. Then, if that is possible, it is also possible that intelligent life has developed as well.

It's quite possible and we're likely to be too far apart to meet anytime soon.

Consider that there are around 400 billion stars in our galaxy and in the small percentage of stars we've looked at, we've found evidence of at least one earth like planet. Then consider that there are around 400 billion galaxies consisting of 100 to 400 billion stars each. The chances are fairly good that there is other intelligent live out there but also very good that it's many light years away.

4 & 5.

Too much evidence exists, even within our plain view of our solar system, to ignore the fact that other have been here before us, and continue to come here periodically. NASA and other governmental organizations continue to deny the existence of alien life, for various reasons. They are afraid of mass panic among the religious community, afraid of losing control of the common man, due to alien influence. Proof exists locked in storage houses somewhere, that we have had and continue to HAVE dealing with aliens.

The universe is vast; basically for all intents and purposes, endless. It is impossible that we are the only intelligent life in it. Statistically, mathematically, intelligent life exists elsewhere besides here.

3 or 4. The universe is to vast and endless to think that we are the only intelligent life form existing. There have been to many unexplained scientific evidence to prove that we have been visited by other beings.

2 + 3.

I find it difficult to believe that with all the billions of stars in the universe which all have their own planets that our planet is the only one to have the conditions to sprout life.

and on a philosophical note..do you believe that intelligent life forms exist on the earth? aren't we going too far believing that we know all and at least more that what we call animals and insects. I always wonder what they would be calling us...
