It is "Retro" to like older bands but if you are a TRUE?
Beatle fan,not just a "Johnny come lately" ....Just what is it that attracts you to the guys,their music and their personalities.The things that just make you say "There is not any other group like them,nor will there be....ever!".For me....it is the soundtrack of my "tween years to adulthood" and all the loves in between.

mmm...I'm 35, and yet my fav bands are kinda contemporary to my age: U2, R.E.M. The Cure, Depeche Mode, Bon jovi...I gre up listening to them.
But, even I'm aware of their importance in the Rock History , I don't like, or buy cds (please note that I used the word 'Buy', not download) from older bands (corporate rock bands, like JRNY or REO or FRGNR or Eagles)...nah...not a single Doors or Led Zep in My collection. Yet I do own key cd albums from the Beatles & The Rolling Stones.
