straight christian women: would you marry a once gay man who converted to christianity and said he's "healed"?

Update:

what about if you love him?

Update 2:

you know that he is gay before... let's say he's the average, regular gay guy. like will in "will and grace"

Update 3:

i meant: he's the average, discreet gay guy before he became christian(let's say he's agnostic before)

honestly, i don't know. everyone has a past and I'm not going to judge that person based on their past. if he was ordained by God..then yes, of course.

It could be for any number of reasons. Perhaps they, like you or whoever wrote that whole thing, completely misunderstand Christianity. Perhaps they don't realize that in countries under the strictest Islamic rule (Sharia) women aren't even allowed to drive, much less vote. Perhaps they don't realize that it is not in Christian-run countries that female circumcision is practiced. Perhaps they think it's all lies. And rape has NOTHING to do with what a woman is or is not wearing. That is a myth. Rape is simply reported more now, because unlike fifty years ago, courts don't drag the victim through the mud. Oh, and the original Hebrew of Deuteronomy 22:28-30 describes consensual sex, not rape. Rape is described a few verses later, and the man was to be put to death for it. I'm not saying Islam is a bad religion, because in many ways it's not. What I AM saying is that Islam is just as misunderstood by ignorant people as Christianity is. Perhaps that's why some Christians have converted to Islam. On the other hand, that could be why just as many convert to other religions besides Islam. Who knows, really? One would have to ask each individual, wouldn't they?

first off gay men CAN be christian so why should they NEED to convert... second, there is NO SUCH THING AS A ONCE GAY MAN-----you are BORN gay, you do NOT become gay and switch back one day.... Most guys who are gay KNOW they are "different" when they are just KIDS.... they may not then KNOW why they feel different---that knowledge comes with maturity, but like I said, you do NOT switch from gay to heterosexual.... you make it sound like an illness and I can ASSURE you it is NOT!!!!!! By the way----I am a straight 57 year old woman with an adult SON and in no way gay but I DO know a lot of gay people... they are no different then the rest of us EXCEPT with who their hearts are with... ,,

No, because he's a liar. He either wasn't gay to begin with, or he is still gay. It's not a choice, nor something to be "healed".

Yes. I have known a few gentlemen who experimented with homosexuality when they were teenagers but after becoming an adult they realized that this was not what they wanted for their lives.

If God calls them "healed" then they are healed.

This assumes he had the guts to tell her. Don't know. As I have never been faced with this situation, I am unable to say what I would do.
