how do i get my live rock to turn purple ?????

I'm guessing you are referring to coralline algae. It is a calcium based algae that takes a while to form on the rocks. You need to have good lighting and sufficient calcium in your tank for it to start to form. Even then it still takes a while to start really covering the tank. My 125 is over a year set up and is just now starting to get a really good coralline algae covering.

You will have to add in the purple algae into the tank somehow. The only way I can think of doing that is to buy live rock that is purple already. In doing so it is not a sure thing that it will stay purple. Other Algae will compete for the same space.

i think of crimson up works good as long as you have the final situations. It encourages the growth of crimson coraline algae. I positioned it in my nano tank for a pair of months and all of the stay rock in it became a advantageous dark crimson colour. you will desire to purchase it already on there whether it is going to probable be greater high priced.

If you mean Coraline algae, then you don't just put it in your tank. It will grow in your tank once all the conditions are right. If your system is new then as it matures the Coraline algae should grow, but it doesn't always appear, unless as I said, the system is set right.

there's chemials you have to buy in order to turn your rock purple and it alos helps if you have the right lighting.
