You're talking about existentialism here, and if you depend on the strength of your faith to make the difference, it really won't help.

You have two light switches and two light bulbs. One set of light switch and light bulb is connected to 110V. The other set is not connected to anything. How hard do you have to move the disconnected switch before the disconnected bulb turns on?

Your faith in quetzalcoatl (whatever THAT means!) is like the light switch that's not connected to anything.

All the belief and conviction and holy books in the world will NOT turn on that light switch that you're trusting in, because it's not connected to anything.

But, hey - if you think that your "faith" will get you past death into the afterlife, if you're willing to put your life on the line, then let's talk.

Wow, what an amusing turn. Quetzalcoatl is represented in lore as a feathered serpent, Feathers representing his power over life and death and his general superior nature, while the serpent represents his willingness to crawl to the earth and endure with mankind the evils that would seem below anyone with the ability to fly.

Hypothetically, your God is not so different than mine, in fact I would say that they are one and the same. We just call Him by different names. Allah, Adonai, God, Father, Quetzalcoatl, they all are the same God as was worshipped by Abraham, by Mohammad, by Confucious. The message is the same, and the way we should lead our lives as a result is the same. Search for truth, treat others with love and respect, seek happiness and take care of your family. These things are consistent with every religion and philosophy. Sure, there are things that differ, but as long as we are all seeking truth, we should come to a respect for what others have found. I am sure that in the end, the Reality of things as they are will be revealed and we will understand more together.

It's like in The Last Battle by CS LEwis, in the end, the Calormene who worshipped Tash instead of Aslan still ended up in heaven, because he was living according to True principles.

The many legends in pre-columbian times, and Aztec (Quetzlcoatl) and Mayan(KulKulcan) legends for return of the great white God.

Although Quetzalcoatl's origin is clouded in obscurity, the legends, the few pre-Columbian writings extant today, ......we find that the Mesoamericans consistently endow Quetzalcoatl with many Christlike attributes, some of which are listed below:

Quetzalcoatl means 'feathered serpent' (just like Moses firey flying serpent, which is a type of Christ, moses put a brazen serpent on a pole because the people were dieing because flying firey serpents were biting them, so if they had faith merely to look up at the brass serpent on a pole, they would live, just like those who looked to Christ lifted up would live).

This usage of the term flying in association with Moses' brazen serpent is indirectly supported by numerous works of modern scholars. For example, Karen Joines notes in [his] exhaustive study of this subject that to the Hebrew word for serpent used in Numbers "may be attributed wings." [6] . . . 7. Both Christ and Quetzalcoatl were universal as opposed to just being recognized as local gods.

8. A great destruction was associated with both Christ and Quetzalcoatl at exactly the same time period in history.

9. The cross was a symbol to both Christ and Quetzalcoatl.

10. Both Christ and Quetzalcoatl sent out disciples to preach their word.

11. Both Christ and Quetzalcoatl promised they would come a second time.

12. A new star is associated with both Christ and Quetzalcoatl.

13. The children of both Christ and Quetzalcoatl will become lords and heirs of the earth.

I personally never gave significance to others who believe their faith "trumped" mine....

I'm living MY faith, not theirs. I have studied most religions and have come up with the most logical conclusion to which resonates with me.

I imagine others did the same. In the meantime, I still question without arrogance and am trying to build a stronger foundation daily in harmony with my family and humanity as a whole.

I've been asking that question for years (Using Ra instead of your Aztec one) but earlier tonight I put it to the test. I printed out the wikipedia list of deity's and sat down with a coin and a pen. through divine intervention, surely the one true god can manipulate the coin toss. It took about 4 hours for me and my friend to get bored :( however I discovered that Ra is not real much to my dissapointment. According to the coin toss, the christian god is also false however Jesus is not. I intend to narrow it down later to just one deity out of the hundreds for my own random entertainment... In my life, MY feelings and convictions would certainly trump yours. I couldn't possibly, however, expect to apply my feelings and convictions to anyone else.
