Question about the ASVAB test?

I took the practice ASVAB test and i didnt get really good score in my opinion, but my recruter told me i did great and he has already told me to take real test. he also told me ASVAB pratice test is harder than the real ASVAB test is the true?

so what is a good score to get in the practice test, i will be taking the real test tomorrow and they told me the passing score is 36 in Califronia, so are the question from the practice test are going to similar from the real test or completely different?

The ASVAB is NOT a difficult test. It checks basic comprehension, reading, writing, and other things other standard aptitude tests look at. There are plenty of practice tests and study guides that any good book store will have; but you should want to score as high as you can, since it gives you better leverage to get the job you want and for further career advancement later (many opportunities in the military look at your ASVAB's GT score; you want to at least get 110 or higher for most of those prerequisites, depending on what they are). The overall score tops out at 99; the lowest they allowed when I took it was 32--and yes, I actually knew people in Basic who scored THAT low on it. They recently allowed scores as low as 18 for certain people if they were waiverable--I can't fathom that. You'd have to be a Neanderthal to score that low. Just study up, relax, take your time, and don't worry about it... as long as you're not the proverbial Neanderthal, you'll do more than fine.

Passing score for any state is 36! As for the test itself, you make it as hard as you want it to be. If your stupid its going to be hard but 90% of it is common sense!

You'll do better if you quit worrying about it. Just relax and do your best.

If you absolutley must do something in between, there are test preparation books at most book stores that will help you study.

Brendon, are you saying it so easy a caveman could do it?
