I have a Le Creuset Dutch Oven and I LOVE it. It does have a lifetime warranty. But I believe you can find similar elsewhere. Try the Home Store...which I believe is the TJ MAXX home outlet center. I just saw one there over the weekend that was almost identical to mine. They are in stock right now. So I would go check it out if I were you. Not sure of the brand name, but if I didn't already have my Le Creuset, I would have bought it. No matter where you are, I am sure the Home Store (TJ MAXX) has the same thing. They always do.

do you have a Marshall's near by?

i wanted a Le Creuset badly and you are right, they are expensive! so i went to Marshalls and found not only they have Le Creuset in deep discount but also other brands.

you have to check them often though, they dont have the same stock every week. i end up bought another brand with better price but quality i can't tell the difference.

Ya go with a Lodge or Camp Chef Dutch oven. Both are way cheaper, about 1/2 the price and I think they are better. Their links are below. You can also get one or both from Wal Mart, Target, Sportsman's Warehouse, Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops to name a few. You can also purchase both directly from the foundry's websites.

You are correct. The brand you named is pricey - but for a very good reason - it is a superior product (yes I own it).

There are others that are very, very good, however. I have provided a source below to read a little about "going Dutch" and that page has links to research some more.
