Social Studies Content Knowledge Praxis test?

I'm taking it on Saturday morning.

Has anyone taken it? Is it hard? Do they try to trick you or anything? Is it all multiple choice? Are there short answers or essays?

I bought a study guide for it, but it's just lists of topics I should look at, it doesn't actually give me any info to study or any specific questions or practice tests.

Did you use any websites or anything to help? Can you remember anything that was on there?

Any tips, suggestions, help, reminders, study tactics, or even well-wishes are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Update:

PS: I am going to be licensed in Pennsylvania, if that matters at all. I'm not sure if Praxis tests are different for each state.

I know by now you already took it, but I'll answer your question anyway for others' reference...

It's 130 multiple choice questions. You get 2 hours to take it.

Some are kinda tricky, but try and go with your gut feeling. Definitely study beforehand so you're familiar with as much as possible.

The topics on the test are U.S. History, World History, Civics & Government, Geography, Economics, and Behavioral Sciences.

Get a study guide, like the "Social Studies and Citizenship Education: Content Knowledge" one by ETS (the company that writes the Praxis) and study everything it suggests. Don't try and do it the night before or anything, actually take the time to work on it over a couple days.

You can find it here on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Study-Social-Studies-Citizen...

It's kind of tough, but I think you can take it up to 6 times in a one year period. It's just expensive to keep registering though ($80 for the test plus a $30 registration fee).

I hope you did well! If not, better luck next time!
