Cable Service question?

I will be buying an HD TV soon and I currently have regular standard cable. I am looking to upgrade but am on a budget. I was just wondering which provider would be best. I live in livonia, Mi and would like to keep it around 50 to 60 dollars a month. i dont know if i want to use just digital cable or what that is where i need the help. I have 6 tvs total in my house two are off of splitters. If you need any other info feel free to ask. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Directv has ALOT more HD channels than Cable I mean ALOT more! I have Directv now i had cable and dishnetwork but they are nowhere near as good. Having said that however your budget might be a problem if you want to hook up all those tvs even if the are not all HD.cable might be your best bet because if you bundle your phone service ,Cable and internet you might be able to get all this for about $100.you can then put in a splitter or two for the rest of your TVs. But like i said Directv's HD service is far better than cable. Goodluck.

Just KEEP the system you HAVE....

CABLE Companys are NOT controlled by the FCC mandate about going High Def in 2008....

AND they have converter boxes for the HD people...

    And the SD people...

And you will still get it without a box ....

But SOMEDAY around 2012 the whole process will change on CABLE...

And you'll have plenty of TIME to get HD if you stick with CABLE.

You NEED a converter box for EVERY TV if you choose Satellite services.....and you pay $5 for each one per month.

Source(s): Over 25 years servicing TV sets....
