any experience with prenatal paternity testing?

i was wondering if anyone had used prenatal paternity testing... i know there are 3 routes you can take just wanting input on them if any one had any experience or recommendations

Update:

prenatal means while you are still pregnant i know there is amniocentesis, CV and there is supposed to be a new non invasive test but i haven't looked up it up yet just thought i'd find out if anyone on here's used any of them

Update 2:

i would like to know because i have been seeing a guy for a while but i went on vacation and hooked up with someone... there is an 8day difference in the timing...it was recommended if it was less than 10days then to get a paternity test... i think it would only be fair to the guy ive been seeing to let him know as soon as possible which he knows about my vacation rendezvous

From what I've heard it can be quite dangerous. It obviously depends on the circumstances but I would have thought it was best to test once the baby is born. My brother had a test once his daughter was a few months old and it was very quick and easy and the results took about 2-3 weeks and, yes, she was his!

If you can wait, I'd do it once the baby is born, but obviously I don't know the full story so whatever you do, Good Luck!!!

regrettably maximum docs won't do a prenatal try for dna except there are different medical concerns that warrant finding out. CVS and amniotisis are the two approaches of having a toddler's dna yet on the grounds that they the two have a threat of miscarriage they only won't do it for installation paternity on my own. If their is a historic previous of genetic delivery defects or a blood try comes back advantageous for delivery defects then they're going to do this finding out.

In Australia we were only offered a blood test you need the mothers the child and the fathers blood and sign consent it took 2 weeks and all parties involved gets the results.

My doctor seriously advised waiting until after she is born to have a paternity test done. It is very nonthreatening this way. Baby, mom, and "dad" are all swabbed on their inner cheek, swabs are sent to a lab, and results take 4-6 weeks.
