Was their really any doubt about Iran and Nuclear Weapons?

This is not front line news because it is contrary to the mainstream media agenda.

Update:

I would also like to add that Front Line news indicates a top story not a back fill.

Agreed. Up until now our media has avoided the details like the plague. Foreign newspapers and numerous sources have included much more than the average reader digests. 2003 there was a report of numerous sites.

In my opinion, this is a positive step forward. You need to understand the levels of power structure in Iran. Just hearing the President mouth off, sorry but he is a problem, is not the entire truth. He is third in line. Now he does control a well financed military and media in Iran is all swayed against the US. We have several Iranian people on Y!A. One I have in my fan base. He gets bashed continually. Yet offers on the spot knowledge people avoid. Do they not want to know?

Sunday on ABC This Week w/ George Stephanopoulos Sec'y Rice spoke of the nuclear issue in Iran. Allowing them peaceful/ energy solutions is not off the table. Yet to stabilize the pieces needed to excellerate these plants into ones producing weapons must be monitored. So, by being involved here we keep extremist from filling in the gaps and this President for outsourcing raw materials... it makes sense.

Iraq had WMD, Saddam had them plus the capability develop nucs. Clinton knew it and Bush acted on it. Rather than bombing the heck at night blindly thru Iraq, almost daily Clinton did... Bush went, got authority for use of force and declared war. Until it became PC to bash him over it. Election season you know! Thanks for the good info.

Personally, I think diplomatically the US has a chance here to avoid war. NO one ever wins then. But awareness is key. Aloha!

The Iranians are without doubt working toward the goal of nuclear weapon development.

They are the only country to openly profess a desire to wipe other countries off the map and now, they want nuclear weapons.

It amazes me when I see people clamoring for us to come home because they ARE developing weapons, because they don't want us there? What right do the Iranians have to tell us where we can put down bases? They have absolutely NO legitimate say-so in this.

I say we send more troops in there, now!

    IT'S TIME.

What concerns me is that they are working on and may have developed a re-entry vehicle.

What that means is they could get, in the open, a missile from either China or Russia to deliver it and the IAEA does not govern that.

England's popular support for the US is dwindling.

The rest of NATO is incrementally lowering it's investment in the organization with the exception of Turkey who is now at cross purposes with us in Iraq.

It's time for us to pick up our marbles and come home. Spending money on being to world's kind constable is a waste.

That money should be devoted to a missile defense system that would make Iran irrelevant.

    Fortress America.

Time to isolate and let the rest of the world go about it's business without leveraging the US into doing it's wet work.

    Isolation NOW.

It's my belief that Iran already have nuclear weapons that they started buying from Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union. I don't know how many or in what shape they're in . Best estimates say they won't be able to produce their own for about 10 years. I think it is really sad after all these years that there are still people who will consider the use of nuclear weapons when we know so well what it will do to everyone on the planet! All we can hope is that in ten years Ahmadenutjob will be out of power.

The "mainstream media agenda" seems to agree with the premise Iran is working toward nuclear weapons. Most Americans think that. Most of the world thinks that. What are you complaining about? You and the planet agree.

They've known they had the blueprints for quite some time now.. they actually saw them on a past inspection. So in a way.. this isn't mainstream because it's kind of old news.

I never had any doubt but the American media monster has only reported how President Bush and VP Cheney are so trigger-happy. Americans are learning to be sceptical of many news agencies.

Doubt or no doubt, there is something wrong with policy makers not believing experts why send them in first place if you are not going to believe their findings?

You mean you read a western news article and now there is no doubt. look at the Iraq war.. there was no doubt on most news agency's there were weapons there... look at Bush's first election, they was no doubt he had won (fox)... look at blackwater, there was no doubt they were fired upon first... all turned out to be false. None of these agency's are neutral or base anything on fact, have you not seen how many of these articles are sourced from unknown in our governments. two things come to mind, firstly why are they releasing this material to the news as most have signed confidentially agreements and secondly how are we ever going to know if them sources were ever real. don't believe everything you here in the media (so called news)

I guess CNN is not considered the mainstream media, because they have been talking about Iran's nuclear ambitions for months
