Any time you can't tell what a flying object is, you have encountered a UFO.

I have encountered many. A few times I eventually was able to indentify the object, and then it was no longer a UFO. The other times it eventually left my line of sight.

I don't know if "encounter" is the right word. It was just a brief sighting. I was driving late one evening and saw a light in the sky much higher than I would expect to see an airplane or helicopter, but it was moving very fast and changing directions very rapidly. At first I thought "shooting star", but it went back up. I've never seen anything like it before or since, nor have I ever been able to identify any aircraft that could move like that. BTW, I was in a pretty rural area nowhere near any air force bases or experimental areas.

Lots of times, but usually on my bike. I have no idea what they are when they fly into my mouth!

The only thing I saw which might be concidered out of the ordinary was a triangular group of three lights which slowly traveled across the sky. It wasn't a jet because there were stars shining between the three lights. What really caught my attention was when I saw the same phenomenon depicted in a commic book. I'm assuming this was some sort of government satellite.

you shoulda asked "Please don't respond with 'no, i haven't'."

I have seen two UFOs in my life, not too surprising as i have spent 40 years looking up. (not for UFOs, silly... astronomy)

the first was broad daylight with hundreds of witnesses. at the lakeshore, two VERY bright lights appeared across the lake, one bigger than the other, swept silently across the lake at great distance, then winked out.

the second was large cigar-shaped with lights around it, flew over the car i was in. oddly, when i checked the other side of the car, there was nothing and no one else in the car saw anything.

seeing UFOs is interesting, yet doesnt prove anything other than you can see things in the sky. the first one was very likely a plane at great distance reflecting light briefly off its wings and vertical stablizer or rear wings... while the second was very likely all in my imagination, but it doesnt matter, because that is what i saw.

aliens on earth? no way! (tho i sometimes wonder about my second grade teacher Mrs Harpsaw... nah... she musta just been born that ugly)

sure. i've seen plenty of them. anything that's flying through the cosmos without being identified? yeah. i do believe half of what i saw was most likely satellites as we do have plenty of them up in that great big blue, but there were a few of those UFOs that might've been something else. gimme a dark ground, absent of any ground light pollution and i can see into infinity. now, you asked about my overall reaction? one filled with awe, pure unadulterated AWE!

Ya, Me and my friend were lying on the tramp and we saw this weird thing in the sky and a really bright light. We woke up on the railroad tracks the next day.

I have seen things in the sky that didn't look like an airplane, but they probably were. Too far away to tell.

okay, but im being serious here. i dont know what it was, but when i was younger, maybe 8, something like that, i was letting my dog out, and i saw this green floating disc, it was really small, about 2-3 hands wide. it was floating upward really slowlt. i stared at it, and ran upstairs to tell my mom, by the time i got up there it was gone tho. idk what it was.

I was rear ended by one and the little Grey creep didn't have any insurance. I had to pay a huge detectable and my rates are going up.
