Dog kissing,yes or no?

Ok before I start, yes I am an animal lover but I am amazed by all the people on here who keep going on about kissing thier dog, sorry but dog's do not care were they put thier mouths even if it is grosse they will still lick or sniff it,then you go & give them a big kiss, so how many people on here actually kiss thier dog.haha

I know I can't really talk,I have a bird who I love to bit's,who poos every where including on me,but yer I love him,he's alittle pooping bundle of joy.

So are you a kisser or a patter?

Hi! I am an animal lover too and I have a Pug who loves to give kisses. She does not lick herself or any other animals so I am not afraid of germs. I have a couple of friends who kiss back so I am not the only dog kisser around here. I love affection and this is how she shows me her love for me. Pugs don't salivate or slobber and have a very dry neat mouth. She is a nicer kiss than some guys I have sucked face with who don't know what they are doing! It's funny but I don't kiss family members on the lips but I will kiss my little sweetie. Great question!

A kisser. The dog loves it and so do I. It is just a way of showing affection so who are me or the dog to refuse it? I have been doing this daily (not french kissing) for over 10 years and have never been ill yet. I believe in germs as most of my family are super-clean freaks and all of them that are have very severe allergies to all kinds of things. Many people will probably disagree with this, but I also allow my 2 year old daughter to do it too. She is very healthy and has a fantastic relationship whith my dog (a Cavalier). She can have a piece of spaghetti in her mouth and the dog will come and eat it up like in Lady & the Tramp - It's sooooo cute. I don't think it is such a big deal. I pat & stroke her loads too coz she thinks that's great as well.

I have an Airedale Terrier, a German Shepherd/Chow mix, and an Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix. What kind of dogs do I wish I could have...Besides Airedales, probably some sort of Setter or Pointer, a Giant Schnauzer, a Boxer, a Belgian Sheepdog, a Collie and an Irish, Lakeland, Scottish, Wheaten, Welsh, and Wire Fox Terriers The coolest thing my dog does is peel boiled eggs. The funniest thing he does is he sits in a wheelbarrow and lets you push him around everywhere.

I have 2 dogs and they both know I do not appreciate being licked/kissed at all! ugh, how people let their dogs lick thier mouth is beyond me, sorry!

P.S the 'dogs mouth is clean and can heal wounds', is a myth, dogs mouths get worse as they age too!

If people could see the bacteria thats in a dogs mouth under a microscope they would never kiss them again, its like going to the park and licking dogs poo, sorry to be blunt but thats what dogs sniff and lick, then come in and lick your mouth. no thankyou

I tend not to kiss other peoples' dogs but some I can't resist. I kissed and used to have my dog Susie (she was 17 when she died) in bed with me or at least at the end of the bed, as she assumed I needed guarding, and as far as I know she didn't give me an awful disease. But we all know where they put their noses, the are only animals, and we should know better. But I am thick anyway and a great big softie.!!!

I'll stick with petting. Dogs can easily give humans worms just by licking them on the face. Dogs sniff poop in the yard which can be infested with worm eggs. The eggs get on the dogs nose and when the dog licks it's owner the worm eggs rub off onto the owner's face!!! Lots of people have worms and they don't even know it!

I'll stick with petting my dog and always washing my hands afterwards.

    im a kisser.

i believe that dogs have healing properties in thier mouth.

i have had a cut on me that has scabbed over and after they have come and given their love and licked it before i can say no!!!!leave!!! i have healed quicker than i would with a plaster on......they are clean animals and as with a cat too i would rather them lick me than some of us dirty humans would...i believe that dogs and cats can heal some....not all cuts and graizes but most and it is also a wonderful way of them showing how much they love and respect you....hope that helps....

Well I wouldn't say "kiss" I would say more of those "cheek pinchers" Whenever I see my cute little pomeranian I would cuddle his head in my hands and I would put my nose to his nose and tell him how cute he is. He usually gives me a little lick after that. So I guess I'm a kisser in a way
