Ricky Williams: Does the man have anything left?

Ricky Williams was reinstated today and it looks like he'll be back on the field in a couple of weeks. Will he be any good?

Even though he hasn't taken the same beating as other backs, there's a HUGE drop-off in your ability to produce (NFL Ricky-esque numbers, I mean). Also, the fact that he hasn't taken the same beating means its a new soreness. Remember Maurice Clarett who didn't play for a year but was "working out" and after getting drafted by the broncos, he just couldn't compete.

Also the Dolphins' line is garbage, so if you combine that with being exetremely rusty, you got a big nada. Plus, Chatman will get the bulk of the carries, he's been in the system.

Running backs dont usually last long in the NFL. The one positive thing that can come from the long layoff is his body hasnt taken the pounding that running backs do. Physically he will have the ability to do it. The question is will his heart be into it. If it is he should return to being a great RB.

I'm not sure if he will be an upgrade for the team. He has aged a little bit and they already have a solid running back, Ronnie Brown. After that they have Jesse Chapman.

He will be a good backup

Hopefully, he's been keeping himself in shape during his long layoff. Who knows, once the doctors in the NFL give him some far more damaging, but legal drugs in the locker room he could be Superman. Someone please explain this to me. The NFL will let you play with concussions, broken bones, while on hardcore pain meds so you can play with the pain. But when it come to pot, suddenly they're concerned that it will ruin your health, and they're good name. I'll say it again, marijuana doesn't ruin careers, marijuana policies ruin careers
