Is Answers selling our posts?
I just read a question about anonymity on here, so I entered my avatar name in a search. Apparently, I'm a "Junior Member" at a website called Ideal Family, which I've never heard of.
The "post" I submitted there is copied word for word from an Answer I left on this site. It's not even a very good answer, to make things worse.

Looks like either Ideal family solutions is stealing posts and answers off of Yahoo Answers. Yahoo wouldn't sell our posts, mostly because the content isn't that great and also because of privacy issues.
That website's obviously stealing posts, if its really bothering you report it to Yahoo answers and they might do something about it. Otherwise a polite e-mail to "Ideal family solutions" should do the trick, or at least yield an interesting reply.

i've got observed that too. i don't know if yahoo is intentionally offering any coaching, notwithstanding it does not unavoidably opt for this to take place. Any programmer might desire to write an application to 'scrape' web content, extracting coaching. The cleverer this gadget, the greater precise the scrape. subsequently an internet site approximately widgets might desire to apply this style of application to scrape different widget websites, extracting the coaching in a usable style and reformatting it for their very very own website. It is sensible that Y!A could be a purpose for this; that's a large website with a extreme content cloth point, all interior the comparable format. which ability the scraper has to handle merely this one format, and can truthfully employ key-word searches. on an identical time as this may well be a procedures from criminal, it is likewise annoying to provide up. it may mean leaping on each and every website that does this. that's merely like direct mail - it may probably take some extreme-profile prosecutions and huge effects to deter people from doing it. Even then they're going to probably merely use servers in 'dodgy' countries to get around that. i think of that's something we will merely could get used to. We should not be putting any comfortable coaching on Y!A besides, and make valuable your exhibit screen call would not p.c. out the authentic you.

I can't say they are selling it.I do believe I read once we post it on their site free of charge. It becomes their property,if you really want the rights to that in which you post.Just remember you get what you pay for,if you did not pay anything, why should you expect anything.

I think someone copied & pasted your answer. Yahoo would lose all credibility if they did that directly.
