Will it be cheaper to heat my home with my gas fireplace than using my gas furnace?

The house is staying warm @ 20-30 degrees outside. If i keep my furnace set @ 45. Will I save money?

Cheaper? no. a fireplace isn't going to match the efficiency of a furnace. they're designed to provide a little extra warmth, not to function as a main heating source.

If you are trying to heat several rooms with a fireplace, probably will cost more than an efficient central heating system. The heating system will cycle on and off as needed, while the fireplace will run continuous.

Gas fireplace...using humidified air the hot dry air and moist hot air will expand and the temputure will expand leaving a lasting warm temputure throughout the room..
