A dog named Shoestring?

Has anybody read a books with a dog named Shoestring in it.? If so, could you give me the title and/or author. I think it was a kids' book published, probably in the 1940's.

Oops, it looks as though your question was posted twice. I've already answered it but I'll give the same answer here in case you missed the other one. Could the dog have been named after his owner? I found a book called "Jimmy Shoestring" by Marion LeBron. It's about a boy and his dog, and it was published in 1931. Here's a link to the book at Abebooks (there's a small plot synopsis there): http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=7...

    Happy reading to you! :-)
