Birthday opinion?

This past summer I broke up with the guy I had been dating for the past 6-7 months. It was painful at the time, but looking back it was the best thing for both of us. It ended amicably, but a few weeks later he decided that he didn't want to speak for awhile. Tomorrow is his birthday, and I wanted to send him a simple "Happy Birthday" message (I don't want him back, as I've moved on); but I'm afraid that he's going to respond it badly. If you were in my shoes what would you do? Send it or ignore the day?

ps. Telling me to grow up and that this is HS bullsh*t isn't what I'm looking for...Just outside insight. Thanks!

I would just send a little note saying 'happy birthday and I hope you have a wonderful one' but thats it

You can send him a basic card, maybe something funny but not too deep...or just call and say "hey, I wanted to say Happy Birthday". But if you have moved on and he hasn't, it might be better to forget it because he might be angry towards you and you could make it worse.

Igone it. it's not about being rude or something, it's better to avoid any situation that might come up as a result of sending the card. And if happens you might wish not to send the card in first place.

Don't acknowledge his birthday especially after the way he treated you.
