  • Metastasizing fibroscaroma?

We found out recently that our cat Kaele (a 10 year old DSH), has developed a vaccine-related fibroscaroma between her shoulder blades. We discussed our options with our vet, & we decided (along with the vet) that it was best not to put her through the surgery & radiation, given her health history. I was petting Kaele earlier this week, & discovered a second hard lump on the right side of her body (roughly 2-3 inches from the bigger mass) that is approximately an 1" x 1.5" in dimension. Would this indicate that the fibrosarcoma is metastasizing? I have a call in to the vet, but I'm still waiting to hear back.

Even though we've discussed everything with the vet & continue to do so, this is just so, so overwhelming. I never imagined that vaccinations would be Kaele's undoing...

  • Can someone suggest a catchy title for a Communications paper that's about Verbal & Non-verbal communications?

For another Communications paper, I used the title "Say It Right", & I don't want to necessarily use that title again.

  • New to twitter...Question about replying to someone else?

I sent an @reply on twitter, but it's not showing up on the person's stream. Why isn't it showing up? Does this mean that the reply wasn't sent?

  • Sub-flooring question?

One of the toilets in our house had a pin-sized hole in the intake to the toilet, & leaked out onto a small area of the subfloor (which is made of particle board). It was behind the toilet & on the side, where no one walks. We caught it, fixed it, & are in the process of drying it out (with a dehumidifier & fan blowing on it 24/7). The particle board is intact & solid, already shows signs of returning to the original color (no swelling!) . My question is, are we going to have to replace it, even though no one walks in that area & it is still strong (doesn't give at all) under pressure?

  • Birthday opinion?

This past summer I broke up with the guy I had been dating for the past 6-7 months. It was painful at the time, but looking back it was the best thing for both of us. It ended amicably, but a few weeks later he decided that he didn't want to speak for awhile. Tomorrow is his birthday, and I wanted to send him a simple "Happy Birthday" message (I don't want him back, as I've moved on); but I'm afraid that he's going to respond it badly. If you were in my shoes what would you do? Send it or ignore the day?

ps. Telling me to grow up and that this is HS bullsh*t isn't what I'm looking for...Just outside insight. Thanks!

  • A little insight, please! ( guys & girls please answer!)?

I've been seeing this guy for awhile now, and had told my best friend that all I wanted for my birthday was for him to kiss me (we all worked together at the time, and she told him). When she did, he smiled and blushed. Last Monday (the 18th) was my birthday and he came over for the party. When he was leaving, he said that he hoped that I had a Happy Birthday and kissed me. We usually talk online just about every night (since neither one of us likes to talk on the phone), but I haven't heard from him since that night. Our friends (that he and I share) seem to think that he's scared. I'm confused because he initiated it. If he is scared, how do we move past this? What do you think? Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

  • Match.com question (guys and girls please answer!)?

Before we started really getting interested in each other, this guy I'm seeing mentioned that he had an ad on match.com, which I was fine with. Now it's been 6 months and things are getting more serious between us, and he's still active on match.com. I'd really like to know why he's keeping active if he's seeing me. I'm planning to ask him, but I need some suggestions on how to bring it up without attacking him. Any advice would be appreciated!

  • Why do you think this is? What can I do about it?

I have been going out with this guy for awhile now; I like him, and I think that he likes me too. He's told me before that he's a pretty shy person. When we say good-bye, he'll hug me/hold me tightly and he's slow to let go. After, we hold hands and talk some more, usually followed by another hug, and more hand holding (this goes on again and again for awhile). Lately, I've noticed that it looks like he wants to kiss me, but he doesn't. Why is it that he won't kiss me? Should I be the one to initiate it, since he's told me before that he's shy? And if so, how/what would be a good way to go about it? I'd appreciate your thoughts!

  • Am I reading too much into this?

I posted this question yesterday :I just had a date with this guy I really like and I think/ thought that he likes me too. So we're saying good-bye, and I thought that he was going to kiss me, but when I leaned in to meet him, he said, "Not yet." What does this mean? Does this mean I messed up enitirely?

And I freaked myself out about the situation, and ended up asking him via IM if we were OK, and he was like, "We're all good." But it felt different (the vibe was off, at least I felt it was), so I asked him if I was bothering him, and he said no, that he was playing a game. The conversation went on, but he was still quiet, and I asked if I could ask him something (about the night before--see above question)...He said sure. A little time went by, and he's like..."or not. hey, i'm getting out of here. i will talk with you later."

Am I reading too much into things? Did I freak him out? If so, how can I undo the damage?

  • What should I do?

There's this guy at work that I like (and I think he likes me). We were working and this girl that we both work pulled me aside and was asking me something health-related. He came around the corner from where we were working and we stopped talking (b/c she didn't want him to hear what we were talking about), and he looked at us funny/kinda curious. Now it seems like he's treating me differently. He used to seek me out during the day and after his shift to say goodbye, and now he doesn't. Why is he treating me this way? What can/should I do about this?

  • Asking a guy to casually hang out?

I posted a question earlier about a guy friend flirting with me at work. How can I ask him if he'd like to hang out sometime (as friends first) without sounding like an idiot? He's got a Yahoo! personals ad, so I know he's single. I get soo nervous at the thought of asking, but I really wanna ask. Any advice would be cool!

  • Guy behavior (asking guys and girls!)?

I'm friends with this guy at work, and lately he's been flirting with me more and more, which is cool. He'll be super flirty, then nothing...Doesn't even say goodbye when he leaves when his shift is over. What's the deal?
