Hi Linda I love my HP it is great. Make terrific copies, and photos. It scans remarkably well and the fax is a great help. I think you would like it. I have had it for almost two years with no problems at all; the only drawback is the cartridges are a bit expensive -- but that seems true of all of them lately.

My personal advice is to find a local dealer and rent one. You can negotiate service terms, for instance free paper and toner. It actually turns out cheaper in long run..and you have the option to upgrade anytime since your renting. You can get a whole lot more expensive machine this way without having to purchase it. I reccomend Canon. The first time someone yanks a piece of paper out of a 300 dollar machine, they could break sensor, then your down and out

It's mostly a matter of taste, needs, jobs to be done and price.

Well let me tell you Linda, first of all...you need to take a better picture for your Avatar (less clothing would be more appropriate) and then....HP makes the best.
