My chain for my necklace is broken..HELP PLEASE!?

At the end of one of the long pieces it split, can I heat it to bond it back together, i used a pair of needlenose pliars to get them to close but i need to fully repair it.

if its gold take it to any shop and they will fix it for u for a small fee if it is important to u if it is not gold then just use pliers to get them together. u cant do that with gold becoz gold is brittle and will break easily
