Freezing freezer?

I was thinking of putting my fridge and freezer in the garage to free up space in the kitchen. Question is: The garage is unheated and can get very cold in winter - subzero temperatures are not unheard of here in Northern Maine, so is there anything in these appliances that could/would freeze, apart from of course the food that's meant to be frozen ...:) Any gases or similar? Any pipes that can burst? Etc., etc. I know nothing about these things, except I DO know I want to get rid of the appliances from the kitchen ... if anyone knows it would be great ... :)

It shouldn't matter. I live in a cold place and I know a bunch of people who have their freezer's out in the garage and no problems at all.

You shouldn't have any problems...and when it gets below freezing...you can unplug it ...open the door a little...and everything will stay frozen until Spring.
