Slimy gross thing hanging from the kitchen faucet??? What is it???
Recently, I was at my sister's house and we noticed this slimy looking, clear glob (kind of looked like snot) hanging from the faucet in her kitchen... she is very clean and also, she had been using the sink as usual- it hadn't been turned off for a long time or anything. Then, at work yesterday- about 3 hours away from her house- we have 2 sinks in 2 different exam rooms. They had the same thing!!! Again- this is a physician's office, so it is cleaned everynight... it is not from being dirty. One was clear greenish-gray and the other was almost black. This is so gross!!! What is it and how do you get it to stop???

Tell her to keep a bottle of blech near the faucet and have her tighten the faucet. It might be loose and the water is dripping. You can get the water checked out with the water company if you are concerned about bacteria. But clean the faucet first before you do it or it will just show what was on positive from the running outside from touching it. Drink bottled water.Fiji water is the best pure.
Email me how you steeled it. Do not get freaked just take your own bottled water and do what I said.
Take care.
Happy Holidays.
No need to freak out.
Talk to her. She can work with you and tell her not to drink it at all till she settles it.or touch it. Have her get paper plates too. And contact the water company ASAP. to make a trip to her house especially if she has children and note that to the company.
WOW! If they do not do anything in 24 hours after your call and written report at the company make copies and keep it file a complaint. And note it as a health hazard.
jk. Go a step further. that they are ignoring you too but first you have to make written documents and phone calls that can be recorded. Possibly later a law suit if necessary???
Good luck...

would have grabbed a sample and put it in a jar and take it to a health centre and have them look at it. If they didn't know, go to a plumbing shop and ask them. If not them, try your local government office.

It sounds like your local water supply got infected with some sort of fungus that deposits slime.
