    There are entry level legal secretary jobs. I started working for the state government as a legal secretary with no office experience at all (however, I did have a paralegal degree). The more experience you have the more money you will make as a legal secretary. Look at http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos151.htm

    Not very long....if you already have secretarial skills, try getting a job through a temp agency that specializes in legal employment placement...so you can "train" to be a legal secretary (while being paid) and then get a job as a legal secretary....
