Can I buy absinthe in Barcelona?

Only have a few hours shopping on Las Ramblas. Do general liquor stores carry it, or do you have to know a special place to go?

TIA

    Don´t know but

    1. There is a strange looking booze shop in Carrer Ferran, on the right going towards the Generalitat.

    2. Also try El Corte Ingles in Plaça Cataluna. Go downstairs to the supermarket and the club gourmet.

    3. Try the alley just up from the Boqueria.

There is a good chance that you will not find any. Spanish people do not drink much foreign alcohol.

I thought you had to go to Turkey to get Absinthe...but I understand some can be gotten in France. If you're going to find it anywhere in Spain, Barcelona would be your most likely city...try asking in the clubs. Only a few hours for shopping? You need to plan better...stick to the ice cream shops and that great little Café de la Opera (across the Rambla from the Opera) for Chocolate y Churros. The food is GREAT in Barça!

Barcelona has become among the first tourist location of Spain since it understands how exactly to please the large bulk : with a history on the list of oldest in Europe, a city that never rests and an inland filled with appeal, wonderful lovely beaches in La Costa Brava and you can see all this in the event that you take a look with hotelbye first. The variety of artistic pieces, the Romanesque churches and the fantastic names in modern artwork and structure like: Dali, Gaudi, Miro and Picasso give Barcelona an area in the listing of towns you must see.
