In the movie Pulp Fiction, WHAT is in the briefcase??

the briefcase wasnt heavy, the robber guy was stupefied when he saw it, and i dont think it could be a soul cuz that answers is a lil out there so i think it was money! like 100 dollars bills stack upon each other and the light was just added to add emphasis on the money or something

I actually got to ask Quentin Tarantino this question when I interviewed him upon the release of "Pulp Fiction" back in 1994. He said he preferred for it to remain a mystery, something that was left to the viewer's imagination.

No one knows for sure. Gold is way too heavy to just carry around in a briefcase. There's nothing that says it's Marcelus' soul (that's the usual theory). It could have been a gate to hell for all we know.

I think its obvious what was in the briefcase... it was a big huge bottle of goldschlager. Why else would everyone be so mesmerized by it?
