We're taking a breather. Did you also get this message?

Yahoo Answers was shut down yesterday from 9 a.m. Pacific Standard Time to about 4 p.m., same time zone. All it said was "We're taking a breather." They had warned about this for a week or more before the shutdown. What they did during that time no one knows, but Yahoo answers was "on a coffee break." No biggie. Surely people could find something to do with their lives while Yahoo repaired it's mess.

Yes, this is popping up occasionally, a day after they did their updates. I'm also getting a "Drat, there's nothing here now, why don't you try asking a question?" error screen sometimes when I click to go to the next page of questions. I'm guessing there are still a few bugs to be worked out from the updates.

Yes I did yesterday (Sunday) because of the different time zone they were down then but today they are back and I received a "Best Answer" that I had done on Saturday too.

It must be a union thing, taking all these breaks.

I get it a lot too. I am guessing its just file maintenance or people all on at once, jamming the server. Just click on Answer...it catches up and you can continue.

I got it yesterday. I know they had it down at least part of the day for updates. They may still be working on it.

Yeah, probably means i'm writing alot of bull$hit, and they want me to stop, just like I am now. But, I believe alot of people receive this message.

Yup, just got it a minute ago. My guess is that they are working on some updates. Wonder what we will see that is new?
