What is your best definition of Atonement?

Atonement is the reconciliation of the spiritual relationship between God and His creation, mankind, repairing the broken spiritual bond through the fall of Adam, but fulfilled by the redemptive power of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus for your shed blood!

Atonement Definition

Atonement is generally defined as establishing ONEment, meaning "be in harmony".

Atonement is specifically an act of making amends for sin, making up for wrongdoing, or paying for a crime.

Christian "Atonement" is the reconciliation of God and man through the sufferings and death of our Saviour, for OUR sins!!!

before you say its a silly answer think about what toner does for your skin. it removes things that should not be there and conditions the surface. same for atonement.

Atonement means: to make right.

Making right whatever it is that you made wrong.

Apologizing to anyone you may have hurt along the way.

honestly being remorseful over what you have done in the past and taking steps to correct those mistakes
