Oh the Nausea!?

I'm almost 8wks and I am so nauseas! I'm finding it hard to eat anything. Most of my old favorite foods sound disgusting now. It's like I can only eat things that are PLAIN. Does anyone else feel this way? Any suggestions to keep me from puking at work? :-(

I had to go through the nausea periods almost for 3 months straight (and it sucked), so I do feel your suffering & pains.

Only things that kept me alive was rice/noddle broth (pretty much well-cooked rice/noodles in the broth) because I could adjust the taste to be as simple as possible (less salty at first).

Then, diet ginger ale helped me. I know it does not taste the best, but since any type of sugar made me sick, I went for the diet version. A little of soda helped me every day..................

Also, sliced apple was my best friend to nibble on. Also, ginger candies helped me A LOT (you can get them at any asian market, I believe)!

I seriously did not get to eat much BUT I had to make sure to keep something in my tummy for someone inside me.

Please make sure to take a daily vitamin so that you are helping your baby, even if you are not eating as much as you would like to............

I am in 21 weeks and it is my first pregnancy. If I could go through the horrible moments, I am sure that you will be able to do the same (because I have the least patience).

    Good luck!

Snack ALL the time. Get peanut butter crackers or something and carry them with you. You get the most sick when your stomach is empty. Before you get out of bed snack (keep something on the nightstand like crackers)...just have SOMETHING on in your stomach at all times... I am not sure why, and I absolutly HATE these things, if I ever eat one the rest of my life it will be too soon, but they were one of the only things that helped me while I was pregnant.... cinnamon hard disc candy. I had my pockets FULL of them at all times and when I started feeling sick, I would pop one in my mouth and it would help.
